StratSave is a research and education tool. Nothing on it is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing on it is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
Backtests are simulations
A backtest applies a set of rules to past prices. It shows what would have happened under the assumptions of the simulation. It does not show what will happen.
- Past performance does not guarantee future results. A strategy that did well in a test can lose money, including all of it, in live trading.
- Simulated results have limits that real trading does not: no slippage beyond what is modelled, no missed fills, no platform outages, no emotions, and historical spreads that may differ from the ones you get.
- Price data differs between brokers and data providers. The same strategy can give different results on your broker.
- Results depend on the account size, leverage, symbol and period used in the test, which are stated in each report.
Verdicts are automated opinions
The labels Promising, Mixed, Failed and Given up are produced by software, including artificial intelligence. They are opinions about a set of backtests, not facts about a strategy and not predictions.
- The AI reads a video and writes trading rules from it. It can misunderstand the video, and the rules it codes may differ from what the creator meant. Each report states the rules that were actually tested.
- The code it writes can contain mistakes.
- A Promising verdict means the tested rules held up in our checks. It is not a suggestion to trade them.
- A Failed verdict is about the rules as tested. It is not a statement about the creator of the video.
StratSave does not trade
StratSave places no orders, holds no funds, connects to no trading account and manages no money. If you load an Expert Advisor or settings file produced by StratSave into a trading platform, you do so at your own risk and you alone are responsible for what it does.
Trading is risky
Trading leveraged products such as forex, indices, metals and CFDs carries a high risk of losing money quickly. Most retail traders lose money. Do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose. If you need advice, speak to a licensed professional in your country.
Your decisions are yours
You are solely responsible for your trading and investment decisions. To the extent the law allows, StratSave is not liable for losses that result from using, or relying on, anything the service produces.
