Built to say no
Anyone can make a backtest look good by tuning it. StratSave does the opposite. It tests the rules as the video gave them, and a result only counts if it survives the checks below.
- More than one year. A strategy that only worked last year is called what it is.
- More than one broker. The same settings are run on other price feeds. Real edges do not vanish when the broker changes.
- Neighbouring settings. If it only works at one exact value, that is curve fitting, and the report says so.
- Real ticks, real spread. Final numbers come from tick data, not from a smoothed approximation.

Questions
Do most strategies fail?+
Yes. Of 113 videos tested so far, 92 came back Trash and 1 came back Promising. Knowing that before you risk money is the product.
What is a credit?+
Testing one video costs about 100 credits, and a second, deeper look about 200. They are taken when the test finishes, and a test that fails costs nothing. Saving, transcripts and summaries do not use credits.
Which markets can it test?+
Gold, the major indices and the major forex pairs at launch. If a video is about something else, the test uses the closest market it can and the report says so.
Do I need MetaTrader?+
No. The tests run on our machines. You only need MetaTrader 5 if you want to load the EA yourself.
Is this financial advice?+
No. It is a research tool. A good backtest is not a promise, and a verdict is an automated opinion that can be wrong.
Do you need my Instagram password?+
No. The extension works inside your own browser, where you are already logged in, and a shared list is read through our own account. Your password never reaches us.
Do I have to copy links or upload anything?+
No. You keep saving videos the way you do today, and they are picked up automatically.
